Even Cavemen Loved Chicken

Did you know that cavemen ate chicken?  Free open range chicken has existed for thousands of years and humans immediately sought out the great tasting meat that it provided.  Back then the health benefits of chicken were not known but that didn’t stop the chicken from being sought out at the camp fire.

Today we do understand that some foods are better than others.  And it is well understood that chicken is much better for you then red meat.  It is not unusual at all for medical professionals to recommend that you eat chicken several times a week.  Chicken won’t do you any harm and it tastes great.

People that have contracted serious illnesses such as obesity or diabetes are often put on a diet that includes chicken in their weekly menu a few times.  With a lot of B vitamins and no carbohydrates chicken is just about a health food.

Even if a person is just looking to lose a few pounds chicken is the ideal diet food.  You would be hard pressed to find a diet that doesn’t include chicken in quite a bit of the meals that it recommends.

When it comes to cooking methods and recipes chicken has a limitless amount of varieties that can be used on it.  From baking to stir fry, chicken is cooked in many different ways.  There are recipes for orange chicken and lemon chicken.  No matter what your taste desires there is a chicken meal that will satisfy you.

Many people enjoy a crock pot potato soup with their chicken.  A good potato recipe that cooks with the chicken always tastes great.

As a snack food chicken is doing quite well.  It is found in fast food restaurants as nuggets and on the menu of many other food establishments in the form of fingers and wings.

When you eat chicken you are eating a healthy meat that is very good for you.
